As each year passes, the impetus on us all to be more environmentally-conscious grows with the increasing data on our collective impact on the planet. This is important for businesses too, and with our involvement in the print production industry, it is important for us to be able to offer greener products to our customers and do our bit.
With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer green options for vinyl productions –
an important step in making the increasing demand for vinyl records more sustainable, accessible and with a view to moving towards sustainably-produced vinyl records in the future.
Now available, we have Bio Vinyl options and Eco Mix Vinyl:
Bio Vinyl
A vinyl compound made of raw material that is more eco-friendly than standard vinyl compound. The options are as follows:
• GreenPower Compound is made from PVC and co-polymer that was produced with renewable power from hydropower, wind power or solar energy.
• GreenPower Bio-attributed Compound is produced based on Mass Balanced* renewable ethylene and made from PVC and co-polymer that was produced with renewable power from hydropower, wind power or solar energy.
Bio-atributed PVC/copolymer uses renewable ethylene from non-food biomass (2nd generation), such as plant residues and waste materials. The certification of Bio-atributed PVC is Mass Balanced according to ISCC PLUS and REDcert2.
Both products have a lower product carbon footprint (PCF).
Depending on the PVC grade, the carbon-dioxide savings of PVC and co-polymer used for producing GreenPower Compound are about 25% and for GreenPower Bio-attributed Compound at around 90% compared to conventionally produced PVC.
The Mass Balance approach makes it possible to track the amount and sustainability characteristics of circular and/or bio-based material in the value chain and atribute it based on verifiable bookkeeping.

Eco Mix Vinyl
Records will be made of compound previously used for pressing of vinyl records and other production waste suitable for recycling.
• 100% recycled colours. They are divided into following groups according to their shades:
Black, Cherry (red), Laguna (blue), Jade (green), Citrus (yellow-orange), Lavender (purple-pink), Graphite (grey). Except black, all colours will be similar to marble-effect vinyl.
Availability depends on quantity and needs to be discussed ahead and checked before planning the order. ECO certification: We will be able to provide declaration of ECO nature of the product.
